Quality and safety

Akagi Nyugyo is engaged in company-wide efforts to ensure the quality and safety of its products.

FSSC 22000 certification (a system for international standards in food safety management) was also obtained by our Honjo Senbon Sakura (5S) factory on April 20, 2017, and by our Fukaya factory on August 9, 2019. In addition to carrying out safety inspection operations with our high-quality production equipment (which goes without saying), we also eliminate various problems as they occur on the production floor, and maintain a hygiene management system that has achieved superior standards.
We additionally carry out thorough hygienic education for our manufacturing staff persons, and we take responsibility for overseeing product quality from the time that raw materials are received until products are shipped out.

Akagi’s original system dedicated to problem prevention

Product quality is controlled at all stages of ice cream production.

Most traceability systems that are sold as packages focus upon dealing with problems after they have occurred. Akagi Nyugyo has gone beyond this by aiming for a comprehensive production control that also prevents problems before they occur. This is an Akagi original system that has been uniquely crafted by our company. The system takes a thorough approach from the time that raw materials arrive until the stage of quality (freshness) control when they are shipped out—thereby enabling the delivery of delicious, safe products like never before. Specifically speaking, we have implemented a product quality expiration alarm system, enabling comprehensive control over information regarding product quality expiration of raw materials, as well as information about suppliers.
